STS PHILIPPINES, MANILA – Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) chairperson Charito Plaza said that Amazon might set up a shop in Manila, after successfully opening its customer service facility in Cebu City this month.

According to Plaza, it will be (the Manila facility) likely open by mid-year.

Having a shop here in Manila would be great for those who love to shop online, especially on Amazon, where a broad selection of items are available compared to its competitors such as Lazada and Shopee. It will also give more jobs to the Filipinos who would be interested to work with the world’s largest online retailer.
