We’re following the next iPhone rumors for a while now, and though we’re not posting much about it, we can say that we know already so many things about Apple’s next smartphone.

As indicated on this leaked iOS firmware code (thanks to Steven T. Smith), Apple’s three new phones are named iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.

As for the variants, the iPhone 8 and its larger sibling, the iPhone 8 Plus would equip LCD screens, while the commemorative edition, namely the iPhone X – the 10th Anniversary iPhone edition will sport the nearly bezel-less OLED display.

But, a couple of weeks ago, casemakers had received intelligence that the devices would be called iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone Edition. Seems a little bit glitchy but both the 8 and 8 Plus naming is correct – there’s something really magical about the commemorative edition name.

The iPhone X?

Recently, Tech website LetsGoDigital claims it was accidentally sent a box shot by a Dutch telecom provider, with the name “iPhone X” inscribed on the side – though it wasn’t verified unlike the leaks we have above.

In case you’ve missed the earlier rumors which we didn’t post (sorry about that), the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are expected to be the direct upgrades over iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus while retaining the same design. It will feature glass backs, the new A11 chip, and wireless charging capabilities via an inductive Qi charging pad.

We’ll be making an article soon about what you should expect on the next iPhones, so stay tuned!

More details soon as well as on the launch day!
