We aren’t certain yet but it appears that Microsoft is launching a Surface Laptop at its event in New York City tomorrow.

Twitter user WalkingCat has shared several images of the alleged “Surface Laptop”. The said laptop will reportedly include a 13.5-inch PixelSense display and will ship in four colors: platinum, burgundy, cobalt blue, and graphite gold. It will also include an alcantara keyboard – the same fabric used on the premium Surface Pro 4 keyboard.

Although it’s not clear yet what processor and other hardware power the Surface Laptop has, the images showed that there will be a regular USB port, mini DisplayPort, and the conventional Surface power connector. Microsoft doesn’t appear to be adopting USB Type-C ports for its Surface Laptop – which is pretty 2015.

The said Twitter user also claims that the Surface Laptop will also run Windows 10 S / Windows 10 Cloud, the rumored names for Microsoft’s Chrome OS – which is more like the Windows RT. As expected, Microsoft should detail this new version of Windows 10 tomorrow, including its ability to only run Windows Store apps.

Now if all of these were true, it seems that the Chromebook Pixel has a tough competitor coming.
