After the huge success of the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) last year, the company is now following it up with the 16-bit version of the same idea.

The SNES Classic Edition will be released on September 29 for $80 or ~PhP4,000, and contains 21 pre-loaded titles. The base unit comes with 2 wired controllers for multiplayer games.

You can see the full list below of great games, but the most interesting inclusion is Star Fox 2 – an unreleased sequel to the space-combat classic.

The SNES Classic Edition includes:

  • Contra III: The Alien Wars
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • EarthBound
  • Final Fantasy III
  • F-ZERO
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • The Legend of Zelda™: A Link to the Past
  • Mega Man X
  • Secret of Mana
  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2
  • Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Punch-Out!!
  • Yoshi’s Island

If there is no problem with the supply of this one unlike the NES, this release is surely great and dope AF for Nintendo fans out there – we all know that it’s hard to get the NES these days.
