Wireless mice are said not to be good for gaming – mainly because of the fact that it runs on batteries (which may lost power any moment), though some peripheral makers tend to give that problem a solution by taking away your charger and put wireless charging capabilities (i.e. Logitech).

However, that solution makes the price more expensive – so, Razer’s approach (although they’re also known for expensive gaming peripherals) is the Razer Atheris wireless mouse.

The Razer Atheris is a compact mouse, designed for multiple purposes like entry gaming, travel and office use – but its main draw is Razer’s claim of up to more than 300 hours of battery life on just two AA batteries.

According to Razer, the Atheris mouse has the world’s longest battery life “on mobile productivity mice with gaming-grade features category.” Of course, this is based on Razer’s own testing and your mileage may vary depending on usage and connection.

The Atheris has dual-connectivity and the same Adaptive Frequency Technology included on the Razer Lancehead. It comes with a 2.4 Ghz wireless dongle as well as the ability to use Bluetooth LE, meaning you’re safe even if the dongle goes missing or someone stole it from your laptop or computer.

It also has 7,200 DPI optical sensor and DPI sensitivity switch for on-the-fly adjustment through the profiles you’ve assigned in the Razer Synapse software.

The Razer Atheris wireless mouse is now available on the Razer online store for $49.99 or around PhP2,500, and can be expected from third-party retailers and distributors next year.
