CES 2018 is now on-going and our series of articles covering the biggest tech show on earth are now dropping! Check them out HERE.

Forget those rolling TVs and 88-inch OLED display from LG for a while, because Samsung has something in store for its fanatics by unveiling its 85-inch 8K QLED TV dubbed the Q9S at CES today.

The Q9S has an AI technology that automagically upscales low-resolution images into 8K picture quality, making it to look more crispier, sharper and appropriate than ever.

According to Samsung, the Q9S TV and its AI analyzes millions of images to transform low resolution content into high resolution. It selects the optimal filter and converts the source into a high-quality image. Sounds amazing, right?

After that, the image is then processed 64 times to offer natural images in high-resolution, without compromising gradation in the picture.

We’re wondering how much would be the input lag on this TV, though

The new technology also optimizes sound quality without having to change the TV’s setting. Whoa.

The new Samsung 8K QLED TVs with AI technology will be launched during Q2 2018. It will be demoed, however at Samsung’s CES booth in Las Vegas, from January 9-12, 2018. No information about pricing, so far.
